Wusthof’s knives are produced in a highly controlled 38-step process in its state-of-the-art production facilities located in Solingen, Germany, a region long famous for producing some of the best blades in the world. Wusthof’s blades are hand-forged from a single piece of stainless steel for maximum strength. The hand-polished blade is exactingly calibrated to be hard enough to resist dulling yet soft enough to take a keen edge when it's honed or sharpened.
