It is designed for searing meats first, then adding the other ingredients, putting the domed lid on, and moving the pan to the oven or back burner. Use it without the lid for baking or roasting. Designed with the All-Clad signature aluminum core, the heat is distributed evenly, making it easy to cook to perfection.
